At Texas Children’s Cancer Center, we are proud to say we help children fight and defeat cancer every single day. Eight out of every 10 children we treat will win their own personal war with cancer. When we opened in 1954, only one in every 10 children with cancer survived. We’ve made considerable progress in a span of just 60 years, but we know there’s still much work to be done.
The good news is, we’re still getting better at fighting cancer. With powerful new weapons in our arsenal, and incredible breakthroughs in technology and genetics, every day we uncover more information about what causes cancer and how to beat it, because losing even one child to cancer is still one too many.
